I used a couple 1/4 x 8” lag bolts to fasten through the vertical upper shelving legs, into the 2x6 garage wall studs. The wall fasteners  were longer, due to the 2 inch gap from shelf-to-sheet rock. The 2” gap is due to the thicker lower garage 8” knee-wall, butting directly into the metal shelving.
The 77-inch width requires a minimum 77-inch clearance, which rules out many residential doorways and tight spaces. The instructions were initially confusing because the diagrams did not clearly show which direction the shelves should face. Once I figured that out, the rest went smoothly. The matte black finish looks clean and modern, blending well with most decor styles. If you plan to use this unit in a damp basement or garage prone to humidity, consider applying a sealant to the MDF boards.

One of the best features this unit offers is adjust shelf height. The connection points to the four legs detaches so you can snap them in at a different height interval or even remove a shelf entirely. The shelves are also deep enough to store a tool chest length-wise, so you should have plenty of space for all of your items. Higher weight capacity typically costs more, so if you plan on only storing a few spare tools, a lightweight model is just fine. Adhere to the weight limits, ensure proper assembly, and use the shelf on a stable, level surface.
