Developed by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), the NQS provides a benchmark for childcare services, from long day care and family day care to preschools, kindergartens, and outside school hours care.
Most Australian families are eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), which can reduce out-of-pocket child care costs by up to 90%. Your child will need a backpack or bag, a refillable water bottle, a change of clothes, a wide-brim sun hat and their favourite toy, which can help them settle in. For kindergarten your child will need morning tea and lunch (dependent on the length of the program day).

The children engage in a variety of learning using a large range of resources from wooden blocks to loose parts. Guardian Childcare & Education respects and honours the Traditional Custodians of the land we work on and explore each day. We acknowledge their continuing connection to land, water and community. We pay our respects to the longest living culture and their Elders past, present and emerging. The Nursery team are eager to share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your baby for a smooth transition to your evening. Our planned indoor and outdoor nursery experiences continue with the chance for movement, games and more books and songs, with an afternoon snack provided.

My daughter has been attending Community kids haven for 3 months now. She is in the nursery room and we couldn’t be happier with the staff and the centre. They were wonderful  and attentive in helping her to transition into daycare.
