Pakenham Kindergarten Services

The educators embed teaching and learning into play experiences, helping the children to make sense of the world around them. This is how the children learn about how things work and develop important foundational relationships and skills. The Pakenham Community Early Learning Centre is a licensed, not-for-profit child care centre serving children aged  infant to 12 years and their families. Located in the village of Pakenham, providing service in two locations, we serve families from all surrounding communities in Lanark County. At PCELC, we believe that every child is competent, capable, curious, and rich in potential. Children and their families deserve access to high quality care in an environment in which they are trusted and respected as individuals.
Our dedicated team of educators deliver play-based learning programs that foster a love of learning in a safe and welcoming environment. Our programs are designed to be emergent in nature and are guided by the kindergarten funding victoria children’s interests. It is our continued mission and vision to provide an educational, learning and home away from home nurturing environment for all children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. We have a spacious, stimulating family day care environment where your child learns, play and interact with other children. Our classrooms are highly spacious, properly ventilated and stuffed with age-appropriate learning materials. We also have a large outdoor play area where your child can play and have fun with similar age group children.

Our daycare and early learning centre is ideally located for families in Pakenham, Pakenham East, Pakenham South and nearby suburbs Officer and Beaconsfield. The Learning Sanctuary Pakenham offers long day care and kindergarten for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, with extended hours to suit busy families. What I love most about this field is the opportunity to build strong, meaningful relationships with children, families, and educators. I believe that a child’s early years are the most important, and that every child deserves a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space where they can feel confident, capable, and connected. I am passionate about creating environments that support each child’s individual learning style, interests, and wellbeing.
Pakenham sits just above the national NQS Rating & the average rating of centres is «Meeting NQS». ECMS acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first inhabitants of the nation and the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live, learn,  work and play. Aboriginal people have a long tradition of teaching and learning through sharing their connections with country, community, language and culture. We recognise their continuing connection to the country, and we pay respects to elders past and present.
Making marks on paper is important for self expression as well as later learning. Jesse and some of her nursery friends enjoy some story time and songs outside in the shaded garden. Many of our Children go on to attend local schools such as Pakenham Hills Primary School and Pakenham Primary school, supporting a smooth transition to school. Out of School Hours Care can cater to 90 of our Pakenham Consolidated School students each session. This includes Before & After School Care, and Vacation Care.

Having 3 children attend your service there are too many names to mention but each educator is outstanding and we recommend you all to all our family and friends. Creative Garden uses Xplor Home as our family communication app. It’s common for a child to experience separation anxiety when they first start child care. When you’re getting ready to start child care, you can help your child overcome anxieties by visiting the child care service together for a Stay and Play session, and easing into new routines at home. Families eligible for the Child Care Subsidy can now access a minimum of 3 days per week of subsidised early learning and care. It’s the perfect time to discover a place where your child can learn, grow and belong.
