Wonderland Academy Early Learning Centre West Pennant Hills

She is SOOOO excited and we are extremely fortunate and grateful that Kindalin gave her such a solid grounding to starting school so confidently this year. Thank you to all the staff and all the fantastic programming that is done by the staff to benefit the children’s learning. Binnowee Kindergarten caters for 40 children each day in two classes and provides a high quality early learning program. Our preschool is open from 8.30am to 4pm during school terms, for children from 3 to 5 years of age. Another aspect of preschool programmes in West Pennant Hills is their connection with the local community. This might involve excursions, community events, or inviting local figures to engage with the children.
Being outdoors and getting hands-on with nature helps children feel calm, curious, and connected to their environment. Our gardening program early learning centre near west pennant hills allows children to dig, plant, and care for real gardens. Whether they’re watering flowers or picking vegetables, little learners get to see how things grow and understand the world around them. Our cooking program gives little hands the chance to explore food in fun and creative ways. Children learn to mix, pour, and stir while discovering healthy ingredients and simple recipes that are safe and age-appropriate.

Preschools in West Pennant Hills often place a strong emphasis on the cultivation of social skills. The ability to cooperate, share, and communicate effectively with peers and teachers is an important component of a child’s early education. These skills are particularly essential as they form the foundation upon which further learning and interpersonal interactions are built. Each class follows a “flow of the day,” which provides predictability and consistency in their schedule.
We take a fresh approach to early learning, blending the beauty of the outdoors with meaningful, child-led experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Kindalin West Pennant Hills is a welcoming, two-level preschool designed to support children through every stage of early learning. As parents and educators, it is our shared responsibility to ensure that the youngest members of our society are afforded the best possible start in life.
This service is a recipient of funding under the NSW Department of Education’s Start Strongfor Community Preschools program and fee relief is available for families of eligible children. Binnowee is a Dharug word meaning 'A green place' or 'A place of many birds'. We have proudly been playing, teaching and learning on Dharug land in West Pennant Hills for over 85 years and counting. If you are considering Binnowee for your child we warmly welcome you to contact us and organise a visit to our preschool.

We recognise the importance of this key period in the development of our precious children. Milestones Early Learning offers early education and care for children aged 0–5 years in safe, welcoming centres designed to support your child’s growth and development. At Wonder Years, we believe that every child is unique and deserves the best possible start in life. Our experienced and qualified team of educators is dedicated to providing a play-based learning approach that is tailored to meet the needs of each individual child. Our curriculum is designed to encourage children to explore, discover and develop their skills through a range of activities, including art and music education, outdoor play, and technology. Hills Montessori is the only pre-school in the Hills  District that offers a true Montessori program and experience.
Breakfast time is available & families are welcome to stay and enjoy with the children. This is also a great chance for conversation to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was. Equally important, we support social development—helping children learn how to follow routines, share with others, and build independence.

We understand that some children may need a moment to settle into preschool life, and we have educators available to provide support as needed. The physical environment at the Pennant Hills War Memorial Children’s Centre is one of our greatest assets. We value both indoor and outdoor environments equally as key spaces for learning.
As it marks this significant milestone, Binnowee Kindergarten remains dedicated to its mission—offering high-quality early childhood education in a supportive, inclusive, and community-driven setting. We aim to ensure that children at Binnowee have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the significance and importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait  Islander culture and ways of being. We honour the traditional custodians of the land by pronouncing an Acknowledgement of Country as we gather as a preschool community.
At Heritage House, we know what it takes to provide quality care and education to our children and families. We offer your child a fun, stimulating, nurturing experience from birth to 6 years. Our tailored play-based approach to early learning focuses on each child’s interest and knowledge. Speak with the team about what’s important for your child for the day and what happened the night before at home.

We also ask all new families to complete a “Getting To Know You” Form, which allows our educators to get to know your child before their start date so we can ensure a smooth transition. Today, Binnowee Kindergarten is governed by families and community members ensuring a community-first approach to education. Over the decades, as the area evolved into a thriving suburb, Binnowee remained a steadfast presence, adapting to the changing needs of local families while maintaining its strong educational values. Established in 1935 by Miss Winifred Macourt Binnowee began as a small preschool in a private home, set against the backdrop of open farmland where horses and carriages were still a common sight.
